Using cookies, candy, frosting, and other fun materials, participants will discover the important parts of a cell and learn how each structure helps living things grow and function. Along the way, students will compare plant and animal cells, experiment with creativity and design, and bring science to life in a deliciously memorable way!

In Candy Corn Catapults: STEMgineering, students will become junior “siege engineers” as they design, build, and test their own desktop catapults. Using creativity, problem-solving, and the science of motion, participants will experiment with angles, force, and structure to launch candy corn toward a series of bubbling cauldron targets. Can you outsmart gravity and engineer the ultimate candy corn launcher?
